Google Drive on Ubuntu with Insync


Size matters the more so when it comes for free

Dropbox, or our use of it, messed up our files and versions. My free allowance on Dropbox is 6.75 GB. The free allowance of Google Drive at the time of writing this post is 15 GB.

Installation of Insync on Ubuntu

While we set up Owncloud for files synced, we tested Google Drive as per

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-key adv –keyserver –recv-keys ACCAF35C
$ lsb_release -a
$ sudo vi /etc/apt/sources.list.d/insync.list
$ sudo apt-get install insync
