B&B in Northumberland – Primsidemill Farm in Yetholm

Primsidemill Farm Bed and Breakfast is a mere 4 kms to the English border, on the Scottish side and withing driving distance to the Northumberland National Park.

Claire manages the Bed and Breakfast. We arranged a price of £35 per night on the phone beforehand but then she charged £45, oh well, I had not the mood to argue.

It is fun to feed the chickens and hens around the house with the leftovers of the breakfast and getting close to the horses over the hill. Cows and sheep down the valley are curious and will follow you. Rabbits are such a plague that farmers gave up trying to control anymore.

I saw oyster-catchers feeding by the river. The landscape is very eroded by the ancient glaciers.
